Earlier this year, Stage Three, in collaboration with the Dubbo School of Distance Education - NSW DEC and the Department of Planning and Environment participated in the 'Dark Sky' project.
Not long after, the opportunity came up for us to work with UTS: University of Technology Sydney to feature in a mini documentary on Project Based Learning; an approach we have been using successfully for many years across all years at St Matt's.
For such a small school we do some amazing things! Here is a short clip that features just our school. We hope after watching it you are as proud of our students and their learning as we are.

Students entered a variety of categories including Arts & Crafts, Decorated Biscuits, Lego Building and Photography. For many of the children, this was their first time entering, and we were incredibly proud to see their creativity, effort and enthusiasm recognised. 🍃 🙏🏻 Community Prayer Workshop 🙏🏻 🍃 Yesterday morning, our school community came together in a beautiful spirit of faith and collaboration for our Community Prayer Workshop. Students, parents and teachers worked side by side to create decades of the Rosary, which will be used throughout our community prayer during the month of May. May holds a special place in our hearts as we dedicate this time to Mary. It was wonderful to see such care, creativity and reverence in the way each decade was thoughtfully made. These shared moments remind us of the strength and unity within our community, grounded in prayer and tradition. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making this a meaningful and memorable experience. We look forward to praying the Rosary each Thursday morning at 8:45 am throughout the month of May.
