Earlier this year, Stage Three, in collaboration with the Dubbo School of Distance Education - NSW DEC and the Department of Planning and Environment participated in the 'Dark Sky' project.
Not long after, the opportunity came up for us to work with UTS: University of Technology Sydney to feature in a mini documentary on Project Based Learning; an approach we have been using successfully for many years across all years at St Matt's.
For such a small school we do some amazing things! Here is a short clip that features just our school. We hope after watching it you are as proud of our students and their learning as we are.

🙏🏻 Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop Feast Day 🙏🏻 Today we gathered together in prayer to celebrate the Feast Day of Australia's first Saint. Mary MacKillop was a woman of great love who was always others centred, she ensured schooling was an option for children living in poverty. "Never seeing a need without doing something about it" Saint Mary MacKillop encourages us as Catholics to be of service to others and hear the call of those in need. Students were encouraged today to find the ‘Mary MacKillop People’ in their lives and tell them that they make a difference in the world every day for the little acts of kindness they do 🙏🏻
