Last week we celebrated Harmony Day. Our liturgy helped us to focus on and celebrate our cultural diversity, inclusiveness and respect for everyone in our school, community and Australia.
We continue to pray for each other and our world to strengthen us to respect, forgive and to support everyone we meet.
All classes were involved in activities to highlight their responsibility to create harmony in their lives and the lives of others.

🌟 St Matthew’s Knockout Cricket – Mark Taylor Shield Round 3 🌟 A huge congratulations to our St Matthew’s cricket team who competed in Round 3 of the Mark Taylor Shield this week! 🏏 Despite the hot weather, our students showed incredible effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the match. 🏀 Basketball Gala Day 🏀 What an incredible day of sport, teamwork, and fun! On Monday all of our teams played their best, showing determination, sportsmanship, and plenty of school spirit. The atmosphere was full of excitement, cheering, and encouragement from start to finish. A huge congratulations to our Year 5 girls team, who went through the day undefeated – an amazing effort! Well done to every student who represented our school with pride. You should all be very proud of your hard work, energy, and enthusiasm both on and off the court.

🌊 🌳 Hawkesbury River Walk 🌳 🌊 Last week Kindergarten was blessed with perfect weather for a walk to view the Hawkesbury River and its surrounds. The walk consolidated our learning in geography around identifying and locating places that people connect with and how we can care for these special places. We were also able to explore how the river was used by the Darug people long ago and we identified ways that the Aboriginal people of the area currently connect with country and culture. The walk was enjoyed by all and our exemplary engagement and behaviour during the excursion earned them a parachute. #RiverWalk #Hawkesbury #HawkesburyRiver

🎖️⭐️ The Cassidy Award ⭐️🎖️ In 1835 James and Esther Cassidy were the first educators and staff of St. Matthew's Primary School. By 1838 100 children had been educated by them at St Matthew’s Primary School. Their efforts laid the foundation for Catholic education in the region. To honour the memory and work of James and Esther Cassidy, the first staff of St Matthew’s, each year on St Matthew's Day we recognise the contribution and commitment to excellence of one of our staff members. A tradition that recognises the importance of our staff and the value of their presence. The Cassidy Award recipient is selected by all staff members nominating who they believe meets the criteria of the award. The award recognises an outstanding individual who exemplifies the mission of St Matthew’s Primary School, Windsor, in the Parramatta Diocese, while demonstrating excellence in their role. This award is open to all staff members, teachers, administrators, support staff, and other personnel. The recipient of the award shows exceptional dedication to their work and a remarkable ability to contribute positively to the school community, including students and their families. We would like to Congratulate Sophia Babazogli on receiving this award today and thank her for all she does for the St Matthew's community 💙💛
